What is Uvjj - Uvjâ - Uvja?

Uvjj – Uvjâ – Uvja is a Sámi psychosocial support unit. It offers low-threshold mental health services in accordance with Sámi culture and in the Sámi language – advice, support and crisis work in their own mother tongue (Northern Sámi, Inari Sámi, Skolt Sámi, Finnish). The service is free of charge. The unit was established to support the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission between the Sámi people and the Finnish state, but you can contact us regardless of whether you participate in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings.
